LG split units, including Dual Inverter models. When the AC stops cooling in July there's no waiting it out, so send us the error code on the indoor unit and we'll come prepared.
We're an independent repair company, not LG Electronics or an LG-authorised centre. If your air conditioner is still under LG's manufacturer warranty, contact LG first.
These are the faults we see most on LG air conditioners, and what's normally behind them.
Dirty filters and coils first, then low gas from a leak, a failed outdoor fan, or an inverter board fault on the outdoor unit.
Blocked condensate drain or a clogged drain pan. Very common in the UAE because of the humidity and dust.
Indoor fan blows, outdoor unit is silent. Capacitor, contactor, communication fault or the inverter board.
A short in the compressor, fan motor or wiring. Don't keep resetting it.
Mould and bacteria on the indoor coil and blower. A proper coil clean usually fixes it.
Blower wheel dirty or out of balance, or a loose panel. Rattling outdoor units often have a failing fan bearing.
What the code on your display usually means, and the first thing to try. Codes can vary a little between models, so send us a photo if you're not sure.
| Code | Meaning | Try first |
|---|---|---|
| CH01 | Indoor room temperature sensor | Call us |
| CH02 | Indoor pipe sensor | Call us |
| CH05 | Indoor-outdoor communication | Power off at the breaker for 10 minutes |
| CH06 | Outdoor pipe sensor | Call us |
| CH10 | Indoor fan motor | Check nothing blocks the fan, then call us |
| CH21 | Compressor over-current | Switch off, call us |
| CH38 | Low refrigerant | Call us. Don't keep running it |
| CH61 | Outdoor unit overheating | Clear space around the outdoor unit, clean the coil |
| CH67 | Outdoor fan locked | Check for debris in the outdoor fan |
None of these need tools. If they sort it out, great. If not, you've ruled out the simple stuff and we can get to the real fault faster.
Not every repair makes sense. This is roughly how we think about it, but the age of your air conditioner and the price of the part always come into it.
In the UAE, a proper clean every 3 to 6 months makes sense, more often if you're near construction or the sea. It keeps cooling up and bills down.
If it needs gas every year, it's leaking. Topping up without fixing the leak costs more in the long run. We look for the leak first.
Our focus is LG split units. Tell us what you have when you call and we'll tell you honestly if it's something we can help with.
Send the model number and a photo or video of the problem on WhatsApp, or just call. We cover Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman.
