These are the faults we see most on LG dishwashers, and what's normally behind them.
A clogged filter is the usual cause. After that, the drain pump or a kinked hose under the sink.
Blocked spray arms, a weak wash pump, or detergent that isn't dissolving. Hard UAE water makes this worse over time.
Glasses and plastics always stay a bit wet. If everything's soaked, check the rinse aid first, then the heater.
Cold, greasy results and a longer cycle. The heater or its thermistor has usually failed.
Water under the door or out of the base. Worn door gasket, cracked sump, or the wrong detergent making too much foam.
Door latch not catching, child lock on, or a control fault. We check the simple things first.
What the code on your display usually means, and the first thing to try. Codes can vary a little between models, so send us a photo if you're not sure.

None of these need tools. If they sort it out, great. If not, you've ruled out the simple stuff and we can get to the real fault faster.
Not every repair makes sense. This is roughly how we think about it, but the age of your dishwasher and the price of the part always come into it.
No. It makes so much foam that the machine can flood and throw leak codes. If it's already happened, run empty rinse cycles until the foam is gone.
Usually hard water scale. Use salt and rinse aid, and run a dishwasher cleaner every month or so. If glasses are scratched rather than cloudy, that's etching and can't be reversed.
