These are the faults we see most on LG washing machines, and what's normally behind them.
Water left in the drum, often with an OE code. Usually a blocked drain filter or a failed drain pump. Sometimes the hose is kinked behind the machine.
Clothes come out soaking. Can be an unbalanced load, a drain problem the machine is protecting you from, or a worn motor sensor.
A rumble that gets louder as the drum speeds up is the classic sign of worn drum bearings. Better caught early, before the seal fails too.
The machine moves or thumps hard. Worn shock absorbers, a broken suspension spring, or transit bolts that were never removed after delivery.
A dE code, or the door stays locked after the cycle. The door lock is one of the most common parts we replace.
Could be the door seal, a split hose, the detergent drawer or the pump housing. We find where it's coming from before replacing anything.
What the code on your display usually means, and the first thing to try. Codes can vary a little between models, so send us a photo if you're not sure.

None of these need tools. If they sort it out, great. If not, you've ruled out the simple stuff and we can get to the real fault faster.
Not every repair makes sense. This is roughly how we think about it, but the age of your washing machine and the price of the part always come into it.
Most drain pump, door lock and valve repairs are done in one visit. Bearings take longer because the machine has to be taken apart.
Usually standing water in the pump area or mould in the door seal. Run a hot drum-clean cycle with the door left open afterwards. If the smell stays, the drain may be partly blocked.
